Imagine 150 tractors in one field in a
single day that was the landscape on August 15 at Arlie Thompson’s farm. Once
registered, the Floyd County Tractor Fun Run travels directly through down town
Floyd. The parade of tractors traveling
through the countryside of Floyd County
is a delight to all with the vast array of historic tractors on display,
definitely a sight you won't want to miss! Ms Minnie and her helpers had plenty of her “Tractor Fun Run Stew”
and sides waiting to feed right at 500 participants. After expenses, this year’s ride was able to
donate $6000.00 to Medical Charities
which will be divided between Karlie
and Ella Nichols, Jack Tawney, and Kaylee Wood to help with their medical expenses. In reflecting, one
thing is certain when the 2015 Floyd County Tractor Fun Run
was completed, you have experienced rural America at its best, sights, sounds,
food, and people.
