On Saturday, August 17 2013, trucks and trailers hauled in tractors of all makes and models to the Arlie Thompson Farm. They were all present for the 7th Annual Floyd County Tractor Fun Run. With threat of rain present at the start of the Tractor Ride there was still more than 120 tractors and around 350 rides to take part in this year's ride. With folks joining us from Mississippi, West Virginia, Ohio along with our local tractor enthusiast the Floyd County Tractor Fun Run collect between $ 8,000. 00 and $9,000.00 to help Relay for life and little Parker Burgard who has Spina Bifida. Friendships develop between riders despite tractors' make, year or model whether some prefer the John Deere green or the Farmall red, riders will say all that matters is the ride.
Above is Little Parker picking the winning ticket for the 50/50. The winner of the 50/50 graciously donated their winnings back to Little Parker!
THANK YOU Terry and Anne Reed!!!!!
We are honored to share in keeping the memory of Marvin West alive with his tractor leading the way in this year’s ride. We at Floyd County Tractor Fun Run are deeply grateful for Marvin’s generous support. Please know that we appreciate and miss that friendship. Our continued thoughts and prayer for Ms. Minnie, David, Mike, and Susan.
